Members of the David A. Huhn Post 12082 in Ionia are helping celebrate Veterans Day by remembering fallen soldiers.
“The Fight Continues” is a service project set on educating the public on the sacrifices taken by military families and the Reading of the Fallen will allow the public to help keep more than 1,700 fallen veterans in their minds and hearts.
“Veterans Day is a day of thanksgiving, and I would like all, especially today’s generation, to remember that freedom is not free,” said David A. Huhn Post Adjutant Phil Patterson. “We have fought for America’s freedom in far away places and on foreign land, and not all are blessed with liberties that we may take for granted today.”
